Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Service Engineer (m/f/d) to join our service team in China. In this role, you will support the commissioning, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of NACOS Marine automation systems on vessels and at customer sites.
You will work closely with customers, shipyards, service colleagues, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard. This role is well suited to someone with a strong technical background who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and working in an international maritime environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Health, safety and environment (HSE): Assesses risks and safety hazards and implement plans to ensure people and equipment safety. Foster continuous improvement and open communications for a safe work site and work execution. Brings attention to safety gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Operational performance: Manage and address customer needs and concerns in a timely manner. Managing all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks; Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions. Document daily work activities in customer service reports. Understand and maintain scope of work, minimize scope creep, communicate scope or schedule impacts with supervisor and project manager.
• Customer Relations: Clear and professional communications, both oral and written, with customers. Supports the customer complaint resolution process as a resolution owner for service and field related issues. Good cooperation with owner/SY/surveyor to smoothly complete the project as scheduled.
• Job detail: NACOS automation system commissioning & service, include: NACOS SAM&LM automation: Platinum MCS, UMS/UCS, MOS2200/MCS2200, Geamar 120isl etc SAM& LM remote control system: PCS2100, PCS2200, Platinum PCS, EGS2000, EGS2200, Geamot 40M; NACOS Valmatic automation system which main used on cruise vessel.
• Good team work with team members to move the project smoothly and high efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor knowledge of electronics; communication/computerize dept. graduated will be in first priority.
• Team work ability.
• Be able to communication in English both oral and written.
• Willing to travel inside China frequently and outside of China if necessary.
• Be able to handle pressure and make decision independently when required.
• 5 years work experience in marine industries or other heavy industries, field service or shipyard & ship crew would be preferred.
• Experience in commissioning is prefer.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers.
• Willing to learn new technology.
