BV Marine & Offshore (BV M&O) –– under BV Industry and Commodities Product Lines, is one of the founding members of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), and is a leading classification society and maritime safety and verification body in the industry. By June of 2026, with a classified fleet of over 12,600 international trading ships and offshore units, BV M&O ranks as the classification society with the largest number of vessels/assets globally. Its diverse fleet covers all major merchant ship types: Bulk Carriers, Oil & Chemical Tankers, Gas Carriers, Container Ships, Cargo Ships, Cruise Ships & Ferries, Offshore Service Vessels, And Other Specialized vessels in the maritime supply chain.
