Principal tasks

- Carry out Hull and Outfitting inspections of the vessel in service as required by Rules and International conventions at shipyard, port or anchorage for inspections, statutory inspections, and relevant repairs;

- Carry out inspections of the newbuildings at shipyard;

- Prepare technically accurate and timely reports;

Education and Professional Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering;

- Previous professional experiences in Classification Societies and/or Chief Engineer Working Experience would be a strong plus;

- At least 5 years’ significant professional experience in shipyards or 3 years’ experience in other classification organizations.

Personal skills and abilities

- Willing to travel frequently;

- Practical and theoretical knowledge of hull, machinery, materials, equipment and safety systems of ships;

- Fluent in English language, both written and spoken;

- IT literate in MS Office;

- Ability to work in a team and on tight schedules;

- Ability to manage conflicts and to negotiate.
