About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the work or duties performed are in accordance with the rules, regulations, instructions, guidelines and quality requirements of the organization and the instructions of the line management.
- Maintain the confidentiality of clients' business, processes, designs, developments and documentation
- Communicate to line management at the earliest appropriate opportunity if in receipt of information that is important to the reputation or integrity of the organization.
- Exhibit customer-oriented focus through promoting DNV onboard or on-site, and by acting as a technical resource for customer questions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree (Naval Architect, Marine Engineer & Electricians) from a recognized University
- Min. 3 years of experience in ship survey, shipbuilding, ship repair, marine operation, or classification work.
- Strong sense of responsibility, good learning ability, and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Good communication skills in both Chinese and English
- Self-disciplined and continuous learner
- Adequate physical fitness in order to perform regular functions on the job, e.g. climbing pilot ladders & tanks, crew boat launches, voyage surveys.
- English proficiency both in speaking and writing
- Flexibility in traveling is required
- Availability outside normal working hours if the job requires
- Able to work independently on surveys.

- Related newbuilding or fleet in service experience with IACS member society
- Technical competencies: Understanding of class & statutory surveys and responsibilities
- Maritime Management System audit experience
