New Construction Surveyor

Job Responsibilities
1. To perform surveys during ship construction, in accordance with Rules and Statutory Regulations and other applicable standards.
2. To propose solutions or facilitate the resolution of problems encountered during the building process.
3. To ensure reporting in accordance with company requirements and timescales to achieve targets set for key performance indicators.
4. To conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and Bureau Veritas - Code of Ethics.
5. To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
6. To keep good communication and good relationship with clients.

Job Requirements:
1. Fluent in English language, both written and spoken.
2. Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering / Mechanical engineering or equivalent level of qualification. At least 5 years professional experience in similar or related field is requested.
3. Enthusiastic and focused on client service delivery.
4. Team spirit with good communication skills. Ability to recognize and appreciate different cultural, commercial and technical viewpoints.
5. Ability to work under pressure and independently.
6. Committed to constant improvement and the ability to implement changes as required.
7. Flexible, keen to learn and develop new skills.
8. A sound awareness of Corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures, and an ability to be proactive in this area
9. Commercially aware.
10. Willing to travel and work out of base city.
